What is Laughter Coaching?

Laughter Coaching is a powerful modality, within coaching, that allows us to come into the body in a playful way that helps us get unstuck from the places that keep us from moving forward in our lives. The result is that we are able to connect with our own creativity and wisdom. It can be transformational and used to help someone break through blocks surrounding any issue or goal. It can also be used to “create, recreate and integrate the practice of laughter into one’s life.”

What can I expect during a Laughter Coaching session?

You will not necessarily be laughing during the entire coaching session. Laughter will be used as a tool, as needed, to bring you back into your body when you are getting to deep into your “head” or your “story”. Laughter is often the fastest way to bring you back to your body and the present moment to help ground, center and move through blocks. Anyone undertaking Laughter Coaching needs to have an open mind. Exercises may include deep breathing, movement, visualization, drawing, writing etc. combined with laughter. Clients need to be willing to trust the process and be silly, both verbally and physically when necessary.

Laughter Coaching

Laughter coaching is done over the phone or via Skype. A minimum of three sessions is required in the beginning in order to reap the benefits. Once this minimum has been met, Laughter Coaching session may be scheduled as needed.
