« 43 Things: Great Site for the New Year »
Friday, January 2, 2009 at 11:20AM I've just discovered a wonderful web site called 43 Things that I wanted to share with everyone. In case you've never heard of it, 43 Things is a social networking site, but one with a self-help twist. The site is designed so that you can 1) List your goals for others to see (accountability), 2) Update everyone on your roadblocks or progress, 3) Cheer others on and be cheered on. What a perfect discovery to begin the New Year!
In my brief perusal of the site, I saw people wanting to improve their posture, lose weight, stop procrastinating, drink more water, go sky diving etc. and then other members throwing out cheers and tips for what has worked for them in these areas. Like every other self-help tool you would need to use it to get the benefit, but what a great idea!
This would be a great place to verbalize some of your goals around being and coping as a well spouse. "I want to be a more compassionate partner." "I want to learn to take care of myself so that I can take better care of my loved ones." Check out 43 Things and then report back. I would love to hear your ideas!
