FAQs > What do you do? > What is coaching?
A life coach is a partner who works in collaboration with you to achieve your best possible life. As your health counselor and coach, I can help you see more clearly your strengths and challenges and design ways to help you move to your most powerful and zestful self. Where most forms of therapy focus on ruminating about the past, coaching concentrates on action and the future.
Coaching is about enhancing your life, not about healing deep psychological wounds or "fixing" problems. It is a collaborative effort on the part of the client and the coach. The right candidate will be someone ready to move forward and make changes around a specific issue or goal, but feels like they need help, an extra push, accountability etc. to move forward more effectively. Coaching is action oriented and believes that the client holds the answers; my job will be to help facilitate the process of discovering those answers. Coaching requires commitment and courage in order for the process to be effective. To see if you're coachable check out my free questionaire! The coaching relationship is important, so I offer a free consultation to ensure that we are the right fit.
